It’s 2028, and the Fujian carrier strike group has just left Yulin, China, for an unknown destination. The U.S. Navy’s “Hedge Strategy” has let commanders disperse unmanned systems across regional choke points as forward-deployed scouts. But days before contact with Fujian, an unmanned undersea vehicle in the Banda Sea transmits an error code and must head back to Yokosuka for repairs — a 3,000-mile, 15-day trip. A second platform, an unmanned surface vehicle, is overdue for a routine oil filter change in its propulsion system. Planners route it to Singapore, but the specialized technicians need visas to enter the country,…

The 38-year-old debuted in the UFC on the heels of notching multiple first-round finishes via strikes inside the Invicta FC cage. Aldana…

Since its prime in the 1990s and 2000s, the international anti-corruption regime has plunged into an ‘unprecedented crisis‘. The United States’ radically shifting posture toward corruption is undoubtedly at the center of current troubles. Just decades ago, it served as the backbone of international anti-corruption enforcement. Landmark legislation like the 1977 Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), which prohibited US firms and individuals from bribing foreign officials to receive undue business advantages, catalyzed new international laws — most notably the 1997 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Anti-Bribery Convention and the 2005 United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC). Their goal…

President Donald Trump used newly declassified intelligence Thursday night to revive his claims about 2020 election issues, pointing to findings that China possessed or analyzed more than 200 million U.S. voter records. But the documents do not appear to subvert the intelligence community’s prior conclusions that China did not alter votes or interfere with the results of the election. The declassified records provide substantially more detail about Chinese intelligence collection involving U.S. voter data and reveal internal debate within the intelligence community over how analysts should characterize Beijing’s election-related activities. But many of the documents reviewed by Nextgov/FCW do not appear to contradict…

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a… lone Army aviation student in the cockpit? For the first time in decades, student pilots are flying solo across the country, the Army announced Thursday, as part of a curriculum change the schoolhouse hopes will create more skilled pilots.
