The Trump administration has withdrawn the United States from the Open Government Partnership, ending for now U.S. engagement with a near 15-year-old initiative aimed at promoting transparency and combatting corruption. The U.S. withdrawal doesn’t come as a surprise to representatives of civil society groups, who argue it’s part of a pattern of the Trump administration disregarding transparency and accountability. In a Jan. 15 letter, the General Services Administration notified the Open Government Partnership of the United States withdrawing its membership. Since 2023, GSA had led domestic implementation of U.S. participation in the international group through an Open Government Secretariat. In…

Nearly every company, from tech giants like Amazon to small startups, has first-hand experience with fake IT workers applying for jobs – and sometimes even being hired. Even so, using a deepfake video to apply for a security researcher role with a company that does threat modeling for AI systems seems incredibly brash. “It’s one of the most common discussion points that pops up in the CISO groups I’m in,” Expel co-founder and CEO Jason Rebholz told The Register, talking about the North Korean-type job interview scam. “I did not think it was going to happen to me, but here…

Ten months ago, Alexander Volkanovski turned back the clock against Diego Lopes at UFC 314.The odds were against Volkanovski for a number of reasons. Primarily, the focus was on his age (36), and that long-running statistic about lighter men almost never winning title fights once they turn 35. Worse still, Volkanovski was entering his vacant title fight on the heels of two brutal knockout losses, which rarely bodes well for an older fighter.Volkanovski bucked expectations and overcame adversity to defeat Lopes in their first bout. He put on a footwork masterclass, but he didn’t run away from exchanges. He traded…

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has been selected by the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command to develop, test and manufacture Red Wolf vehicles for the Marine Corps’ Precision Attack Strike Munition program. Our proven Red Wolf system can bring affordable…
In today’s UFC, you have two classes of contenders. There’s the quiet guys who have built up wild winning streaks but lack a certain flair on the mic and social media. And then there’s the ones with less than perfect records who remain in the mix because of their clear popularity with the fans. The divide between these two classes is pretty obvious at featherweight, where Alexander Volkanovski just beat back the popular Diego Lopes for a second time in a row at UFC 325 while Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy sit on the sidelines with 9-fight UFC winning streaks. Following…
