The Tekken World Tour 2025 Global Finals will be taking place this upcoming weekend. Needless to say, fans will have the opportunity to watch some of the best fighting game players in the world go at it in Tekken 8.
recently on X, Bandai Namco has confirmed what many Tekken fans have already speculated. There will be important announcements regarding Tekken 8 ahead of the Tekken World Tour 2025 Global Finals top 8 segment of the tournament on February 1, 2026.
“Before the Top 8 there will be an announcement for the future of Tekken 8!” said Bandai Namco in their social media post. “Don’t miss it.”
Back in December of last year, Katsuhiro Harada suddenly announced his departure from Bandai Namco, meaning that he’ll no longer act as the main producer of the Tekken series going forward. However, Bandai Namco has apparently requested Harada’s attendance at the Tekken World Tour 2025 Global Finals this weekend.
This post reaffirms Harada’s intentions to attend the event. He likely already knows what fans will sort of announcements are awaiting fans.
With Miary Zo released as the last character of the Season 2 Pass, it is extremely likely that Bandai Namco is gearing up to tease some news regarding Season 3 content. We may even get a character reveal or two during the scheduled announcement.
