Andrei Arlovski left a former UFC star baffled with his disrespectful take on the late Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson.
In a recent interview with David Guttman, the former UFC heavyweight spoke about his fight with Johnson (back in March 2013 at WSOF 2), in which he was beaten by unanimous decision.
Arlovski also went on to address that he had his jaw broken by ‘Rumble’ in ‘two places.’
He broke my jaw in two places, at the end of the first round…I fought two more rounds. Honestly, I still think that I won that fight, but unfortunately, the judges gave it to him [Johnson].
Then came his insensitive comment:
But I’m winner anyway. He’s dead, I’m alive.

A truckload of angry and baffled reactions followed, and one among them was UFC veteran Gilbert Burns‘ comment. He dropped a one-word reaction, writing:
What??? [multiple face-palm emojis]

It is worth noting that Johnson passed away in November 2022 when he was just 38 due to multiple-organ failure that stemmed from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (which is a form of cancer).
Andrei Arlovski Beat Cancer Thrice
Andrei Arlovski was first diagnosed with cancer way back in June 2010. He successfully beat it, only for the dreaded disease to return three years later in 2013. The Belarusian-American once again recovered.

12 years later, in 2025, cancer came back for the third time, and Arlovski had a tumor in his kidney removed, along with 28 lymph nodes.
That said, his recent heartless comments on Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson are all the more jarring coming from someone who has fought cancer three times himself.
