To last for four and a half hours
Alex is the next DLC character joining Street Fighter 6. He’s set to become available on March 17, 2026 — later this month.
Curiously, Capcom has announced that Street Fighter 6’s servers will be going down tonight for maintenance. This maintenance period is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. PT and 10:30 p.m. ET. It will last for about four and a half hours.
Traditionally, Capcom has released fighting passes just prior to the release dates of DLC characters for Street Fighter 6. These fighting passes typically get revealed at the beginning of the month in which the advertised fighter is scheduled to be released.
As such, many suspect that this maintenance period is to make available the “Alex Arrives Fighting Pass.” Like with other passes before it, we suspect that this will feature new music and avatar costume parts.
Considering that Alex made his debut appearance in Street Fighter 3, it’s likely that the Alex Arrives Fighting Pass will feature classic themes from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike. It’s worth highlighting that the previous Street Fighter 3 character, Elena, released themes for the Temple Hideout, English Manor and Kasuganao Residence stages.
As such, we may get a greater focus on character themes from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike with the Alex Arrives Fighting Pass. As always, we’ll be reporting on any further developments that get shared by Capcom regarding this maintenance period.
