In January, more than 1,000 hectares of de-occupied areas were cleared by demining units of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine

In January 2026, demining units of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine cleared 1,189 hectares of territory liberated from russian occupation.

In particular, security has been restored for:

• 416.52 hectares of agricultural land;
• 0.06 km of roads;
• 1.78 km of electric power lines;
• 34.25 km of railway lines.

In January, mine clearance specialists identified and neutralized 504 explosive hazards. Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, a total of 480,916 such hazardous items have been neutralized.
