New details on the upcoming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake have surfaced in a now-delete YouTube video depicting slides from an internal 2024 Ubisoft presentation, which reveal that changes are being made to the character of Prince Farah.
TheGamePost was able to digest the video before it was taken down due to copyright claims from Ubisoft, and reported that Farah will apparently be able to look after herself during battles as the player won’t have to save her during encounters. In the original version of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Farah accompanied the player during a large portion of the game, and had to be protected by the player when she called for help in combat. The mission would end if she was killed.

Specifically, the report states that Ubisoft has revamped the combat system and enemies in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, with Farah now able to fight independently using a bow and performing cooperative attacks. “There is no longer a need to protect her,” it reads.
In related news, a report on Insider-Gaming this week claimed that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is set to launch in the middle of January 2026, following multiple delays that date back more than four years.
