Virtua Fighter Crossroads is the fighting game project in which Sega is currently working on. It’s been a good while since the Bakunawa Killer was revealed, but it seems that the developers are once again ready to reveal something new about the game.
In a recent social media post, they dropped a note telling fans to be ready on October 29, 2026. There will likely be some sort of teaser or trailer on that date at 8 a.m. PDT / 11 a.m. EDT.
A picture was dropped that showed an unknown woman dressed up in a fancy dress in a seated position. We can see wine bottles and an ice bucket in the foreground.
There also appears to be a blonde man sitting next to this woman. Another woman’s hand is seemingly relaxing on this man’s shoulder, but we’re unable to get a good look at this man since he’s been deliberately cut off from the photo.
Fans are speculating that this could be a teaser for Lion Rafale. Notably, Lion made his debut Virtua Fighter appearance in 1994’s Virtua Fighter 2.
Within the series, Lion has been a practitioner of Northern Praying Mantis. It will be interesting to see what has changed with Lion considering the time skip featured in Virtua Fighter Crossroads, assuming this really is the character pictured.
