UFC CEO Dana White recently revealed why he has blocked every media outlet that covers the UFC. According to the 57-year-old, almost everything covered by MMA media pages on social media and websites is wrong, and reading them is a waste of time for him.
He said this during a recent sit-down with Steven Bartlett:
“Everything they f**king say is wrong… It’s a waste of my time to even listen to it… Anybody with a f*cking phone can consider themselves an expert… I don’t wanna hear what these guys trying to start a podcast, website, or a f*cking Instagram account think.”

White added during the same interview that he does not look at MMA media as “haters” and that what he is thinking and what’s next, no one covering the sport can “never know.” He blocks everyone who covers the sport because, according to White, he wants to hear what real fans think.
White has said several times during pressers that he keeps MMA out of his social media algorithm. Therefore, he does not see the speculation surrounding fights or fighters trading barbs online unless his assistant notifies him.
Fans not impressed with Dana White’s comments
Fans, however, were not impressed with Dana White’s comments. Many said MMA media helps grow the sport and mocked White for mixing up fighters’ records. Some netizens also claimed that White is no longer interested in the game and that this could be his last year as UFC CEO.
A user wrote:
“Maybe that’s part of the reason you thought Wang Cong beat Grasso/Rose/Andrade, @danawhite . Give actually following your sport a try, might embarrass yourself less.”
Another added:
“I stand by the prediction I made over 6 months ago that this will be Dana’s last year as UFC prez.”
