Sean O’Malley shared a hilarious voice message he sent to a former opponent, hoping to run it back with him.
The former rival in question? Petr Yan. O’Malley and Yan faced off back in October 2022 at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. ‘Suga’ won via a razor-close split decision, eventually earning him a title shot against Aljamain Sterling.
He would then go on to defeat Sterling and defend the title once before losing it to Merab Dvalishvili.
And it now looks like O’Malley wants to rematch Yan. In the latest episode of his podcast with MMA Guru, the 31-year-old shared the voice message he sent to the Russian in hopes of running it back. In the voice note, O’Malley could be heard saying:
Petr [Yan]! What’s up buddy? Hope you’re doing well. Hope you beat Merab so I can beat your a** again. [Followed by a hysteric laugh]
Yan replied:
Sean [O’Malley] hello…I smash Merab and you will be next. [Followed by a hysteric laugh just like O’Malley’s]

Yan’s laugh had both O’Malley and MMA Guru in stitches. ‘Suga’ added:
Oh God, little Peter. I like little Peter. He’s just a f*cking funny little dude.
Sean O’Malley Answers if he would Fight Payton Talbott Should Petr Yan Beat Merab
Sean O’Malley had a hilarious take on why he would ‘duck’ Payton Talbott if Petr Yan goes on to beat Merab Dvalishvili.
In the same episode of the podcast with MMA Guru, O’Malley stated:
Petr goes out there and wins, I’m ducking him. I’m ducking him for a tougher fight. I’m ducking him for Petr Yan.Why would I fight this f*cking tall, lengthy, good striker when I could fight Petr Yan?
