Scopely has officially announced a new Monster Mash Season for MONOPOLY GO!, bringing together Netflix’s hit anime film KPop Demon Hunters and Sony Pictures’ Ghostbusters for a supernatural takeover. Starting September 23, 2026, you can step into a spooky new season filled with themed mini-games, collectibles, community creations, and plenty of Halloween-inspired surprises.
Running till November 25, 2026, the season will let you meet characters from both franchises across different MONOPOLY GO! events while also introducing new ways to play with friends. From HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys to the Ghostbusters crew, plenty is waiting for you on the board.
MONOPOLY GO! x KPop Demon Hunters brings HUNTR/X to the board
The first major collaboration in the Monster Mash Season brings KPop Demon Hunters into MONOPOLY GO!, giving you the chance to roll alongside HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys.
The collaboration features themed mini-games, cosmetics, collectibles, and familiar moments inspired by the hit Netflix film. You can also hear songs including “Golden” and “How It’s Done” in the game.
As for the in-game festivities, the Blocks Boutique lets you explore a KPop Demon Hunters-inspired shop filled with themed merchandise, colourful details, Derpy Tiger, and the Saja Boys. You can also take part in Racers, where you’ll race through Seoul before heading into the Underworld for a showdown.
The Partners event lets you team up with friends to build attractions inspired by characters such as Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. Meanwhile, HUNTR/X Treasures takes you to a live HUNTR/X concert where you can search for hidden treasures.
Ghostbusters brings paranormal chaos to MONOPOLY GO!
The supernatural fun continues with Ghostbusters, as the iconic franchise joins MONOPOLY GO! for its own set of themed events and collectibles.
You can race around the rooftop of 550 Central Park West in Ghostbusters-themed vehicles during the Racers event while the battle against Gozer unfolds. The Partners event also lets you work with friends to build attractions inspired by locations, characters, and moments from the franchise.
The Ghostbusters Treasures event takes you inside the iconic Firehouse, where you can use the Proton Blaster to work through a slime-covered grid and uncover familiar Ghostbusters equipment.
New Monster Mash features give you more ways to play together
Monster Mash also adds new features, starting with Fill Up Your Luck-O-Lantern, where you can collect Candy from different activities and use it to fill your seasonal pumpkin. You can find Candy through Sticker Packs, Mini-games, Leagues, and the Color Wheel. Once your Luck-O-Lantern is filled, you can claim rewards and share some of the goodies with a friend.
The second new feature is Trick-or-Treat, a quick dice duel where you visit houses around the board and compete against a friend. Roll higher than your opponent to claim the treat, but keep an eye out for hidden Ghosts that can get in the way.
Monster Mash introduces Franken Paths, a new team-based mini-game built around Keep or Send decisions. As you progress, you can choose whether to keep your progress or send it to a teammate.
The Hold the Lead feature is also coming to Tycoon Racers. Instead of rewards being focused only on crossing the finish line, teams can now earn more by taking the lead and holding their position during the competition.
