Although it’s still some time away, as the Capcom Pro Tour marches on for the year, we are slowly inching closer to the grand event Capcom Cup, also incorporating the Street Fighter League World Championship, which will once again be taking place in the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan between March 10th and March 14th.
This morning, the Capcom Fighters account on X shared the key visual art for the event and it’s a quite striking art piece much like previous years had.
This time, the key art focuses on Yasmine, one of Season 4’s brand new characters which also makes it the first time that the main character featured is a Street Fighter 6 newcomer.
As you can see in the gallery further below, previous years for Street Fighter 6 mainly focused on Ryu and Luke for 2023, Akuma for 2024 and Chun-Li for 2025, so the shift in strategy to incorporate the brand new Yasmine instead of iconic favorites definitely shows a shift in marketing.
Together with the art piece, we also got details on Capcom Cup 13 and its accompanying Street Fighter League World Championship and the format seems largely unchanged from Capcom Cup 12 with the same type of group stages.
Scheduling-wise, the group stages of Capcom Cup 13 will be played out on March 10th, March 11th and March 12th and then having the full top 16 on March 13th.
The Street Fighter League World Championship will start off on March 12th but have its finals on March 14th.

As of right now, there appears to be no word on if they’re returning to a pay-per-view format, which even had the Street Fighter 6 director and legendary player Daigo Umehara voicing surprise and skepticism at the decision
Given how large the backlash was, especially in western areas, it’s possible Capcom might revise their strategy for broadcast this time, but as of right now it’s unclear.
