MBF Group S.A. and its Turkish technology partner Shark Aviation Dynamics have announced a significant milestone in the development of the IRYDA+ X1 autonomous UAV system. In recent real-world trials, the platform successfully engaged a ground target with approximately one-meter accuracy, validating its advanced guidance and mission control systems.
The tests confirmed the system’s ability to initiate detonation at a height of five meters above the target, generating effective coverage over a 30-meter diameter area. Footage documenting the precision strike is publicly available on the company’s X account.
Designed as a modular swarm platform, IRYDA+ X1 enables a single operator to direct multiple UAVs in coordinated missions. The system features real-time data sharing, adaptive autonomous behavior, formation keeping, and resilience in contested electromagnetic environments — capabilities increasingly critical in modern drone-centric conflicts.
Colonel (Ret.) Janusz Czarnecki, President of the Management Board of MBF Group S.A. and a veteran with nearly 30 years of service in the Polish Armed Forces, commented: “Having spent nearly three decades in uniform, I know firsthand the difference between promising concepts and systems that actually deliver on the battlefield. The one-meter precision achieved by IRYDA+ X1 in live conditions marks a clear transition from development to operational relevance. This Polish platform, developed in close partnership with our Turkish colleagues, is now ready for serious evaluation by armed forces and security agencies. Its open architecture ensures it will evolve rapidly to meet tomorrow’s threats.”
The full international unveiling of the IRYDA+ X1 system, including comprehensive technical demonstrations, is scheduled for the first half of July 2026 in Turkey. Following the event, the first demonstration packages — including sets of eight UAV pairs — will be shipped to Warsaw. MBF Group will then launch an active commercialization campaign in Poland, featuring live presentations for the Polish Armed Forces, Border Guard, and other specialized units.
The company intends to showcase the system at leading defence exhibitions in Europe and beyond in the coming months.
IRYDA+ X1 stands out as one of the few Polish-origin UAV systems that has moved beyond the prototype stage into a commercially ready phase. With proven flight performance (speed >30 km/h, range >20 km, endurance >60 minutes, 300g payload) and a highly transportable design, it offers a compelling combination of swarm intelligence, modularity, and precision engagement potential for reconnaissance, force protection, and counter-drone missions.
MBF Group S.A. welcomes discussions with international partners interested in technology integration, co-development, licensing, or procurement opportunities.
