The player known as iDom is perhaps best regarded for his first place finish at Capcom Cup 2019. He was able to win the entire Street Fighter 5 event using Laura, a character that most players were seemingly sleeping on at the time.
Though iDom does play Street Fighter 6, it’s been well established that he’s not as fond of it compared to how much he preferred Street Fighter 5. In a recent video, iDom confirmed his opinion that Street Fighter 5 is a superior game to Street Fighter 6.
Within this video, iDom created a tier list that’s intended to indicate the best fighting games to play in 2026. Street Fighter 6 was ranked in B tier while Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition can be found in A tier.
Curiously, Street Fighter 6 was only definitively ranked above five other fighting games on this tier list — Mortal Kombat 1, Injustice, Street Fighter X Tekken and DNF Duel.
Of course, Street Fighter 4 was also ranked higher than Street Fighter 5. Ultimately though, Street Fighter 4 fell just short of an S tier placement.
The tier list also marked Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Mortal Kombat 1 as the highest tiered games on the list.
