Update: One of Ludovic’s fundraising organizers has now provided an update on how the support is assisting Mbock currently.
If you’re in the United States or even other places around the world, it’s very difficult to avoid any news or discourse surrounding the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, but right now the impact is hitting a lot closer to home for all of us.
Longtime Fighting Game Community member THG|Ludovic Mbock has reportedly been detained by ICE in the United States.
The news was shared by Ludovic’s teammate THG|Say-Co online.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been created to help pay for Ludovic’s legal representation fees and support.
Ludovic from THG was detained by ICE, and right now he needs us. He’s more than a teammate — he’s family.

This is what the fundraiser description has to say:
“Ludovic Mbock is a dear friend who has always brought kindness and positivity to those around him. Recently, Ludovic found himself in a difficult situation, he is currently detained by ICE. This unexpected turn has left him in urgent need of support, and those who care about him are coming together to help.”
“The funds raised here will go directly toward securing legal representation and providing the assistance Ludovic needs during this challenging time. Legal fees and related costs can be overwhelming, but with your help, we can ensure Ludovic has the best chance to resolve his situation and return to the life he’s worked so hard to build.”

As of the time of reporting, the campaign crossed its previous $30,000 goal in just a matter of hours, which has now been increased to $50,000.
Ludovic has been involved in the FGC as a competitor and member for well over a decade in the Street Fighter, Tekken, King of Fighters and Granblue Fantasy Versus scenes.

He’s featured in our tournament results here on EventHubs tons of times, he’s offered tier lists, and provided technology for the community among other contributions to the FGC.

We do not have information regarding Mbock’s reported detainment by ICE, any court proceedings involving him, nor about his potential citizenship status at this time.
EventHubs has reached out to one of the fundraiser organizers for more details though we have not received a response as of the time of reporting.
