Owlcat Games used IGN Fan Fest to share new looks at both Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, with one trailer teasing Rogue Trader’s third DLC and another showing how Dark Heresy handles combat.
The new Rogue Trader teaser introduces The Infinite Museion, the third DLC for Owlcat’s CRPG. Its main figure is Trazyn the Infinite, the eccentric Necron Overlord known for collecting rare artifacts and unusual specimens.
In this new story arc, Trazyn turns his attention toward the von Valancius dynasty, pulling players into a Necron-themed expansion that adds new locations, quests, lore, and artifacts to the base campaign.
Like the previous expansions, The Infinite Museion is designed to integrate directly into the main game. Owlcat says players will be able to use unique implants while exploring artifact-heavy locations, all while Trazyn manipulates events for his own ends. The studio also confirmed that more details are still to come, including the reveal of a new companion character tied to the DLC.
Alongside that DLC tease, Owlcat also presented a combat gameplay showcase for Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy.
The upcoming RPG keeps the foundation established in Rogue Trader, but adds more tactical tools during fights. Characters can target enemy weak points with both melee and ranged attacks, letting them disable specific body parts or push for maximum damage.
Another new layer comes from morale pressure, since players can break an entire group’s resolve through overwhelming force and end encounters early.
That approach fits the game’s Inquisition focus. In Dark Heresy, players act as agents built to crush resistance both physically and psychologically, and the combat system seems to reflect that with more control over crowd pressure, body targeting, and encounter flow.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is available now on PC through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. It is also out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with the first two DLCs currently available on all platforms except Switch 2.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is set to launch on Windows PC through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
