Despite being canceled, the Avatar fighting game was surprisingly revived last year, and now we get to see more of the project in action.
Gameplay Group International just dropped the gameplay trailer for Toph in Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game.
The earthbending icon was among the first characters announced with Avatar Legends’ initial reveal, but we haven’t actually gotten to witness her moves.
The new trailer kicks off with Toph performing a number of Flow dodges before getting into her moveset.
As expected, the blind prodigy can use her earthbending to toss giant rocks at the opponent though that’s not all she does.
Toph is also shown summoning multiple types of earth pillars that she can use to hit in front of her, launch the enemy or even pull them to her.
Her first support character is Boulder, which makes her Flow Movement options armored and looks like a pretty scary prospect.
Next up is the Badgermole that improves her earth pillars even more.
And finally, Hippo gives Toph a better platform ride, which is unique considering it allows her to perform “grounded” moves while in the air.
While it’s not part of her regular moveset, Toph does bust out her patented metalbending for one of her Supers, so that’s cool to see.
There’s still two more of those originally revealed fighters that need their own trailers between Sokka and Azula along with anyone else the developers are putting into the fighting game.
Back in December, Avatar Legends ran its first closed alpha test featuring Aang, Korra, Zuko and Katara on the roster, so we’re more familiar with what they can do.
Today’s been busy in terms of fighting game announcements between two Dead or Alive projects being unveiled plus Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls revealing Wolverine, Magik and Danger.
No release date was revealed here, so Avatar Legends is still slated for a Summer 2026 launch window on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
