All the RPG and Strategy Games Drops Coming to PC and Consoles in February.
These are all the most exciting titles coming out in February, and I think you should brace yourselves because it’s a truly spectacular month. Major releases I’ve personally been waiting on for quite some time, alongside a few standout indie gems.
It is packed with the kind of turn-based releases that can eat your whole month if you let them. There is a dark fantasy tactics game that plays out on tight grids and leans on deckbuilding combos. There is a brutal sci-fi follow-up from a studio that built its name on mercenary misery, now swapping iron and arrows for mechs and assault rifles.
There is also a goofy, warm indie adventure with timed inputs and dialogue choices that can hurt you in the dumbest way possible.
Then the month swings hard in the other direction with a big-budget remake of a classic time-travel JRPG. A tactical roguelike about breeding and gearing an army of cats shows up right after that and more.
This roundup tracks the turn-based RPGs releasing in February 2026 with confirmed dates and platforms.
Master Of Piece
- Developer: IM Game / IM Fine
- Release Date: 4 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows, Mac
- Steam Page
Master Of Piece feels a bit like a dark fantasy Into The Breach with deckbuilding. With its small grid maps constraining your movement, you’ll have to be smart about building your squad of mercenaries with upgrades, combos, and other synergies in order to win the day.
Inspired by board games, complete with meeple-style combatants, Master Of Piece enters Early Access on 4 February. There’s a free demo available to try right now as well, so you can jump in right away if this sounds like your kind of game.
MENACE (E.A.)
- Developer: Overhype Studios
- Release Date: 5 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows
- Steam Page

As the followup to Overhype’s brutal and beloved mercenary sim Battle Brothers, Menace is one of the more eagerly-anticipated games of the moment among hardcore strategy fans. This time you’ll be trading in your bows and battle-axes for mechs and assault rifles as you battle aliens on distant planets… but there will be no less danger, and you can expect casualties to be just as high as they were in Battle Brothers.
Menace looks like it will trade in its predecessor’s hex grid for a more detailed, XCOM-style combat system, and we frankly can’t wait to see what Overhype has cooking. The free demo is available now, and Menace launches into Early Access on 5 February.
Hermit & Pig
- Developer: Heavy Lunch Studio, LLC
- Release Date: 5 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows, Mac
- Steam Page

If you’d prefer to spend the beginning of February with a game that’s a bit more lighthearted, Hermit & Pig is a fun indie RPG with some serious Earthbound vibes. As the titular duo, you’ll get in over your head in a major conspiracy when all you wanted to do was forage for mushrooms.
Hermit & Pig features turn-based battles where you input key combos with a time limit, and conversation trees that can force you to take cringe damage if you say something silly. It’s not-at-all-serious fun, with a free demo available now ahead of its launch on 5 February.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined
- Developer: Square Enix, HEXADRIVE
- Release Date: 5 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Switch 2
- Steam Page

With so much focus on the first few games in the series, its good to see that Square Enix hasn’t forgotten Dragon Quest VII, the soaring time-travel epic from the PS1 era.
Like many of the mid-series Dragon Quest titles, it didn’t find a huge audience outside of Japan on its first outing, so DQ7 Reimagined – a full-blown remake in the style of the latest entries of the franchise – is a great opportunity to experience this underrated classic.
As a Dragon Quest game, it hardly needs any introduction. That said, DQ7 Reimagined has added new features like dual-class options, autobattles, and more to keep the experience fresh. You can even carry over your data from the demo if you play it all the way through, picking up the main game where you left off when it launches on 5 February.
Mewgenics
- Developer: Edmund McMillen & Tyler Glaiel
- Release Date: 10 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows
- Steam Page

A joint effort from the creators of The Binding of Isaac and Closure is sure to have plenty of delightful weirdness, but Mewgenics is shaping up to be more than that – an irreverent strategy masterpiece. In this tactical roguelike, you’ll breed and equip an army of cats, with an unbelievable depth of choices on and off the field to keep you coming back for another run.
The main campaign boasts 200 or more hours of playtime, so it’s a good thing that Mewgenics is launching early in the year. With a 10 February release date, you’ll have plenty of time to get through it before 2027 rolls around.
Sector Unknown
- Developer: Creative Storm Entertainment
- Release Date: 12 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows
- Steam Page

Sector Unknown is an isometric RPG in space, made all the more impressive by the fact that it was made by a solo developer. Starting as an escaped prisoner in uncharted space, you’ll negotiate with the factions of the nearby planets, building enough power to take on the Star Frontier Corporation.
Sector Unknown has spent the last half-year or so in Early Access, nearly complete and ironing out the details with the support of players. The full version launches on 12 February, so if you’re in the mood for spacefaring adventure it will be one to check out.
Disciples: Domination
- Developer: Artefacts Studio
- Release Date: 12 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox
- Steam Page

The sequel to 2021’s Disciples: Liberation, Domination picks up fifteen years after the events of the previous game. Having freed the realm from the grip of the gods, Queen Avyanna’s reign is beginning to fracture; you’ll have to manage the kingdom and command the battlefield to lead Nevendaar to glory or ruin.
While you don’t need to have played the first game to enjoy Disciples: Domination, it could be cool to see the entire saga played out in one go. To that end, Disciples: Liberation is 70% off on Steam until 10 February, two days before Domination‘s launch on the 12th.
Norse: Oath Of Blood
- Developer: Arctic Hazard
- Release Date: 17 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox
- Steam Page

If you liked Expeditions: Viking or just want to immerse yourself in the world of Medieval Scandinavia for a while, Norse: Oath of Blood is one tactical RPG that should be on your radar. As a young jarl exiled by rivals, you’ll gather your allies and build a new settlement, striking out on daring raids, and you seek vengeance.
Norse blends village management with brutal tactical combat and an enchanting story, making it a solid pick for RPG fans. The game launches on 17 February, and Steam has it listed at 15% off until the 24th, letting you score either the Standard or Special Edition at a discount if you pick it up in before the first week of release is over.
Dead In Antares
- Developer: Ishtar Games
- Release Date: 19 February, 2026
- Platforms: Windows
- Steam Page

Part RPG, part visual novel, part resource-management survival sim, Dead In Antares challenges you to lead a crew to an alien planet, save humanity, and live to tell the tale. It raises the stakes over the previous Dead In games, making it the ultimate experience for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
If you love games that make you take tough decisions while juggling combat and character relationships, try the free demo of Dead In Antares. It will give you a taste of what’s to come when the full game launches on 19 February.
Death Howl (Console Release)
- Developer: The Outer Zone
- Release Date: 19 February
- Platforms: PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
- Steam Page

PC audiences fell in love with this haunting, unforgiving deckbuilder when it launched in December, and console players will get their chance to experience Ro’s quest very soon. Death Howl is a pixelated tactical challenge centered on a journey to the Spirit Realm, with boss battles as dangerous as any soulslike.
If you’ve been waiting for the console release, Death Howl is landing on 19 February. If you’re the kind of player who doesn’t shy away from a difficult game, this is one you won’t want to miss.
Showgunners (Console Release)
- Developer: Artificer
- Release Date: 19 February, 2026
- Platforms: PlayStation, Xbox
- Steam Page

If you prefer your tactical battles a bit more traditional, Showgunners is a solid, adrenaline-pumping shootout in the vein of XCOM. Instead of saving the world, though, you’ll be fighting for your life in a televised, neon-drenched deathsport; give the crowd what they want!
Showgunners has been available for PC since 2023, and its console release is arriving on 19 February. There are no details yet on crossplay, though, so there’s a chance existing PC players might not be able to challenge console newcomers and vice versa.
