“The Kicking Machine” Superlek is back. The Thai striking legend has been added to The Inner Circle on Friday, May 15, where he faces Russian knockout artist Abdulla “Smash Boy” Dayakaev in a bantamweight Muay Thai showdown, streaming live from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Superlek carries a 139-31 professional record and 15-3 promotional mark into the fight. He is the only fighter to have defeated Rodtang Jitmuangnon in an all-striking bout inside ONE Championship, and his resume includes wins over Panpayak Jitmuangnon, Nabil Anane, Takeru Segawa, and Jonathan Haggerty.
His last two outings brought consecutive defeats. He dropped a Muay Thai decision to Anane at ONE 172 and a kickboxing setback against Yuki Yoza. Now he arrives at The Inner Circle on May 15 with a clear point to prove.
Standing across from him is Dayakaev, a Dagestani finisher who trains in Pattaya with Team Mehdi Zatout. The 23-year-old carries a 15-3 career record and 8-2 promotional mark, with six finishes inside ONE.
He earned his main roster contract after a four-fight winning streak on the ONE Friday Fights circuit. But his most recent outing brought a second-round knockout loss to Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon. He later went on to claim the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title.
Superlek and Dayakaev bring contrasting styles and identical motivation to May 15
Superlek is a muay femur whose lightning-fast right kick has been the defining weapon of a career that spans over 170 professional bouts. At 30 years old and coming off consecutive losses for the first time in years, this fight is a statement opportunity. It’s a chance to remind the division that the version of him who dominated ONE Championship for years is still very much present.
Dayakaev is a relentless pressure fighter built for war. His aggressive, all-action style has made him a fan favorite on the weekly series, and he has shown the finishing ability to end fights from anywhere. A win over a former two-sport, two-division ONE World Champion would be the biggest result of his career.
