PFL Madrid sees reigning middleweight king Costello van Steenis put his gold on the line against familiar foe Fabian Edwards.
Nearly six years ago, van Steenis secured a close split decision win over Edwards under the Bellator banner. Now, they’ll headline the PFL’s big return to La Villa y Corte. But this time, the stakes will be even higher as van Steenis defends his 185-pound title for the first time since his buzzer-beating submission victory over Johnny Eblen at PFL Africa 1.
As for his opponent, Edwards rides into Madrid on a three-fight win streak, including highlight-reel finishes against Impa Kasanganay and Dalton Rosta.
In the co-main event of PFL Madrid, former Bellator featherweight titleholder A.J. McKee takes on the promotion’s fourth-ranked contender at 145 pounds, Adam Borics. Fans will also see a high-stakes strawweight scrap as Aussie standout Jacinta Austin faces submission specialist Benita van Rooij.
