It’s been a little over a week since Armor King joined Tekken 8 as its latest DLC fighter via the version 2.06 patch. This patch featured a few adjustments, but the meta has largely remained the same for Tekken 8.
Due to this, TheMainManSWE recently felt confident enough to release a new tier list for Tekken 8. This tier list even includes the placement of Armor King, which gives us an idea on how relevant he’ll likely be until the next major balance patch.
Ultimately, Armor King ranked near the bottom of A tier. While this is actually the second lowest category on TheMainManSWE’s tier list, he’s adamant that “”A tier is still incredibly strong.”
Still, Armor King feels like a tough sale right now as this indicates that there are at least 30 characters that are clearly better than him. Meanwhile, Armor King only ranks above two to four other characters.
At least Armor King is doing better than Fahkumram who ranked at second to last in the A- group. He is said to only be better than Devil Jin, but only just barely (since they occupy the same tier label together).
The strongest fighters right now are said to be Anna, Nina, Bryan, Asuka, Claudio, Alisa, Law, Jin, Clive and Hwoarang. These are the combatants that are clearly performing in the tournament scene right now.
