UFC champion Khamzat Chimaev has questioned the nature of Arman Tsarukyan’s side quests outside of the promotion.
Right now, Arman Tsarukyan is on the outside of the lightweight title picture looking in. After not getting the call to compete for the interim title at the start of the year, he has been left to sit and wait to see what’s going to happen between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250.

Most people would agree that Tsarukyan should be getting a crack at the belt, but instead of waiting around, Arman has been busy taking part in numerous wrestling and grappling matches away from the UFC. Some like the move, whereas others feel like he should instead be focused solely on his mixed martial arts venture.
In a jokey back and forth recently, Tsarukyan’s friend Khamzat Chimaev had the following to say on the matter.

“Hey, sleeping machine where are you?” Chimaev can be seen asking Tsarukyan on a phone call, before telling him to “Go back to Jake Paul’s gym” because he prefers influencers to what he calls “real wrestlers”.
“You don’t like real wrestlers, you only like influencers. Go back to Jake Paul gym bro.
“Then you go wrestle with the small guys. The guy [Mokaev] was like 40 kilos.“

Of course, it’s all fun and games, but it’s safe to say we would all like to see what exactly is next for Arman in the actual Ultimate Fighting Championship. Hopefully, we get to see him compete sooner rather than later as his pursuit of the lightweight title continues.
