Tehran, IRNA — Israeli drone strikes hit several areas in southern Lebanon on Sunday in repeated violations of last year’s ceasefire agreement, Lebanese media reported.
Lebanese broadcaster al-Mayadeen said a drone strike targeted the vicinity of a residential home in the town of Blida, while al-Manar TV reported that a vehicle traveling between the towns of Abba and Doueir was struck.
Lebanese sources also said the Rabid area in the Nabatieh district was bombed later in the day.
The Israeli military claimed that one Hezbollah fighter was targeted in the attacks in southern Lebanon.
Drone flights and operations by Israel over southern Lebanon have increased in recent months, heightening concerns over a renewed escalation along the border.
More than a year after the ceasefire agreement, Israel continues with its repeated violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
