Tehran, IRNA — Iran has condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on Lebanon and its repeated violations of the ceasefire.
In a statement on Saturday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei strongly denounced yesterday and last night’s attacks on Lebanon, including the Bekaa region and the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh in Sidon, which killed and injured more than 40 Lebanese and Palestinian civilians.
Referring to the continued “blatant violations” of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity and the November 2024 ceasefire agreement, he underscored the direct responsibility of the ceasefire guarantors, the US and France, for the crimes committed by the Israeli regime.
He also stressed the need for immediate action by the United Nations and its Security Council to halt the regime’s military aggression.
