Genesis is back yet again this year with Genesis X3, taking place in San Jose, California, U.S.A.

With most world tours just wrapping up for the year, you’d think there aren’t any tour statuses in play for Genesis X3, but you’d be wrong. The SNK World Championship has already started up for the 2026 season so both Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and King of Fighters 15 have qualifiers for the SNK World Championship at Genesis X3.
The main game at Genesis X3 is Super Smash Bros. Melee which landed just short of 1,000 participants and not too far behind was Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with almost 800 signups. Rivals of Aether 2 netted more than 250 participants while Street Fighter 6, the mixed 2XKO bracket and Tekken 8 all surpassed 100 entrants each.
There will also be tournament play for Guilty Gear Strive, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Rivals of Aether, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:celes], Idol Showdown, Capcom vs. SNK 2,
Also, as you’d probably expect, there are Doubles brackets happening for Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Rivals of Aether 2, Super Smash Bros. 64 and 2XKO.
Streaming is being done at Genesis GG, Genesis GG 2, Genesis GG 3 and Genesis GG 4.
