Just like last month, March 2026 is shaping up to be a packed month for new RPG, strategy, and hybrid releases. I’ve rounded up all the biggest titles set to launch, and I have to say, the lineup is seriously strong.
For those interested in my personal grind, I just want to say I’m doing everything I can to keep the TBL pages updated, even with work and family pressing hard. Some days, it really feels like running a gauntlet.
Needless to say, in my ideal world, I’d live off nothing but video games and family, having more time to dive deep into every single title covered, create more content for the YouTube channel, and bring a lot of other cool ideas to life. But right now, walking away from job duties to focus solely on this just isn’t realistic.
Why am I saying this? Just to get a pat on the back and hear that the work I’m doing with TBL actually matters to someone.
After that little vent, let’s get into March’s full lineup, which is honestly impressive. There’s a AAA title ready to drop, along with a ton of high-quality indie projects that turn based lovers absolutely need to keep on their radar.
Legends of Amberland III: The Crimson Tower
- Developer: Silver Lemur Games
- Release Date: 2 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page
The Legends of Amberland series is an ongoing tribute to the old-school first-person CRPGs of the ’90s. Its open-world exploration and party-based combat feels like a return to the good old days, with modern quality-of-life features like fast travel and quick combat.
The latest entry in the Amberland saga brings more events to the world’s growing history, but you don’t need to have played the two previous games to enjoy it. Check out the free demo, and if you decide to buy the game, Legends of Amberland III is 10% off on Steam until 16 March to celebrate its launch.
Esoteric Ebb
- Developer: Cristoffer Bodegard
- Release Date: 3 March 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Esoteric Ebb has the same anything-goes, unexpected weirdness of Disco Elysium, but in a colorful fantasy setting. As a Cleric tasked with investigating ever-stranger events, your fate will be determined by rolls of the dice, and your choices could do everything from save the world to completely derail the story.
A free demo is available now for Esoteric Ebb, and it will likely have you eager to dive into the full game. If this game gets as big as Disco did, imagine being able to say you were there when it started!
Dr. Alb’s Prodigy
- Developer: Super Tiny Studios
- Release Date: 4 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

This indie roguelite sends you on quests across a pixelated 2.5D world, reporting back to the titular doctor between runs for upgrades and lore. The combat blends real-time and turn-based tactical elements, so be ready to master timing as much as positioning and strategy.
The game itself feels a bit mysterious. Who is Dr. Alb? Why is the world a post-apocalyptic danger zone? These questions alone make Dr. Alb’s Prodigy an enticing pick.
Slay the Spire 2
- Developer: Mega Crit
- Release Date: 5 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows, Mac, Linux
- Steam Page

Look, I can’t imagine that you need me to sell you on Slay The Spire 2. You’ve probably got hundreds of hours logged in the first game and a few different builds you could run in your sleep. It’s the original roguelike deck builder, and the sequel has masses of new cards, foes, and challenges to explore.
Slay The Spire 2 also introduces a co-op mode, letting you tackle the tower with up to three friends! The only real caveat with this highly-anticipated launch is that the 5 March release is just for Early Access – the full game isn’t expected until 2027 at the earliest.
Banquet for Fools
- Developer: Hannah and Joseph Games
- Release Date: 5 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows, Mac
- Steam Page

If you’re looking for an RPG with a unique fantasy world, the two-person team at Hannah and Joseph Games has a strange and wondrous adventure launching on the 5th. Banquet For Fools has been in Early Access for about a year-and-a-half, and now you’ll be able to play the finished version.
Unlike lots of CRPGs, your party in Banquet For Fools is randomly generated at the start of a new campaign. You’ll need to adapt your strategy to the team’s unique strengths and weaknesses while planning your trek across the game’s open world. If you’re the type of gamer who likes to work with what you’re given, this could be a compelling quest for you.
Tabletop Fantasy War
- Developer: EdenDev Studio
- Release Date: 6 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Strategy fans looking for a game to scratch their tactical itch may want to check out Tabletop Fantasy War. This indie, hex-grid wargame challenges you to design and group units for best effect, deploying them on a map where terrain is key, and ultimately win battles on positioning and planning.
As its name suggests, Tabletop Fantasy War draws inspiration from physical wargames, so you can expect a bit of a learning curve. Luckily, there’s a demo available so you can get your feet wet and learn the basics before raising your standard in larger battles.
Rising Army
- Developer: Arkbits
- Release Date: 6 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

If you still want to lead soldiers into battle but are in the mood for a game that isn’t quite as serious, Rising Army is an autobattler that lets you focus on building your camp, upgrading your troops, and, perhaps most importantly, keeping the King happy with your performance!
Rising Army has a large map to explore, where noticing possible points of interest can lead to hidden supplies or an ambush. It’s deeper than it looks, so give the demo a try before the game launches on the 6th.
Thysiastery
- Developer: DIRGA
- Release Date: 9 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows, Linux
- Steam Page

Thysiastery is a classic-style dungeon crawler with some very cool retro, dark-fantasy visuals. If you like your fantasy weird and maybe a bit unsettling, this could be a game for you. In first-person view, you’ll explore a Labyrinth full of strange biomes and stranger monsters, fighting for survival and learning secrets the further you make it.
Thysiastery’s eye-catching aesthetics and mysterious setting make it a good pick for indie RPG fans. The demo may leave you with more questions than answers!
STARWEAVE
- Developer: Studio Starweave
- Release Date: 9 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Coming to terms with destiny is an age-old narrative theme, but Starweave makes it central to the gameplay. As a group of heroes whose fates are written, Starweave gives you the power to refuse the call, if you choose. Whether you follow your fate or resist it, the game still has tactical battles and character bonds to make the campaign memorable.
Starweave is a thesis project, so while the game itself isn’t expected to see any DLC or updates, it could be worth keeping an eye on the developers to see what they do next. This is the next generation of developers at work, after all!
Dungeons and Warbands (E.A.)
- Developer: Omer Erenturk
- Release Date: 11 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Dungeons & Warbands is an ambitious, exciting solo project that’s bound to be equal parts engrossing and challenging. If Battle Brothers was more of a traditional RPG, this is what it might have looked like; you can explore its massive, open world at your leisure, and each wound is a potentially serious injury to a specific body part.
After two years in development, Dungeons & Warbands is entering its Early Access period this month. That means that for all that the game has right now, there’s still plenty to come. If you love a good sandbox, be sure to check this one out.
Solasta II (E.A.)
- Developer: Tactical Adventures
- Release Date: 12 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

If you liked Baldur’s Gate 3 but haven’t yet tried Solasta, it’s well worth checking out. Tactical Adventures’ epic is built to feel even more like an authentic tabletop experience, while still keeping the deep characters, engaging narrative, and gorgeous visuals.
The sequel, entering Early Access this month, is diving even deeper into storytelling and worldbuilding as you explore the land of Neokos.
From everything we’ve seen, Solasta II is likely to be the kind of sequel that makes the beloved original look like a tech demo, defining the direction of the series and solidifying its place in the genre. In other words, it’s a game RPG fans won’t want to miss.
Light Fairytale Episode 3
- Developer: miyu.works
- Release Date: 12 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows, Linux
- Steam Page

The Light Fairytale series is a short, standalone JRPG that can be played in sequence to create a larger tale. Carrying over your save from one game to the next lets you keep your stats and gear, and their episodic nature lets you enjoy them at a slow burn.
Episode 3 launches in Early Access on 12 March, continuing the story with Light Fairytale‘s signature turn-based battles and hand-drawn anime cutscenes. The first two episodes are only $9.99 each, even if you don’t catch them on sale, so you can get caught up in the meantime.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
- Developer: Capcom
- Release Date: 13 March
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch 2
- Steam Page

With its lush, vibrant palette and the franchise’s trademark elaborate creature designs, the Monster Hunter Stories games almost feel like Ghibli movies. The third installment in the spinoff series, Twisted Reflection, is no different, bringing the world of Monster Hunter to life with a tale of war and hope against the threat of extinction.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 is a separate tale from the first two games, so you don’t need to have played them to enjoy it. However, if you have clear data from the earlier titles, you can unlock some cosmetic bonuses, which is a fun gift for loyal fans.
Twisted Fate
- Developer: Game Dynasty
- Release Date: 17 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

This tactical dungeon-crawler roguelite lets you command a party of three heroes, developing their abilities to create combos and synergies to help you survive against the hordes of enemies arrayed against you. It’s got tons of different options, to say nothing of the possible threats you’ll face, so if you’re looking for an indie title with some replay value, Twisted Fate has plenty to offer.
It’s a game that isn’t afraid to be a bit silly, but don’t let that fool you; Twisted Fates can be very rewarding, especially once you get your build going.
Heroes of Science and Fiction
- Developer: Oxymoron Games
- Release Date: 17 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows, Mac, Linux
- Steam Page

Originally entering Early Access as Silence of the Siren, Oxymoron Games’ tribute to the classics is finally launching with a name that proudly proclaims what it is; Heroes of Might and Magic, but in space!
With five playable factions and an ancient, lore-filled galaxy to explore, Heroes of Science and Fiction is one of the most exciting HOMM-likes to be announced over the last few years, and we can’t wait to see what the launch version has in store.
Whispers of the Eyeless
- Developer: Venris, Evil Gingerbread Studio
- Release Date: 17 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

With its dark-fantasy themes and challenging gameplay, Whispers of the Eyeless draws some parallels to the original Darkest Dungeon. Yes, you’ll still be recruiting followers and sending them off on dangerous missions, but this time it’s entirely in service of the forces of darkness. As a cult leader, your task is to awaken your dead gods as the city crumbles around you.
Whispers of the Eyeless has been in Early Access for a little over a year, refining its autobattler mechanics and filling the streets of Aranthor with creeping dread. The full version launches this month, so be ready to don your cloak and succumb to madness on 17 March.
Elemental: Reforged
- Developer: Stardock Entertainment
- Release Date: 17 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Stardock’s fantasy 4X games – War of Magic, Fallen Enchantress, and Sorcerer King – were ambitious titles that gathered a cult following, but the three of them always represented parts of a greater game, an ultimate experience that Stardock wanted to create. Elemental: Reforged is that game, taking the best parts of the classics and refining them into something new.
Elemental is designed to be a true strategy sandbox, where you craft the history of your character, nation, and armies through gameplay. If Stardock has finally found their Philosopher’s Stone, so to speak, then this game will be something truly magical.
SOG: Vietnam
- Developer: PigeonMaker Games, Games By Loki
- Release Date: 18 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

This tactical roguelike tasks you with carrying out dangerous missions during the Vietnam War and getting out alive. You’ll need to carefully recon each tile before making your move, as charging into the jungle blindly means certain death. Once you know what you’re up against, you can use stealth, grenades, or even air strikes to accomplish your objective.
SOG: Vietnam rewards careful gameplay and improvisation, but a single mistake can cost your entire run. The demo is available for free, and the game launches on 18 March.
Valor of Man
- Developer: Legacy Forge
- Release Date: 19 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Valor of Man is a tactical fantasy roguelite with flashy spells of lots of potential builds and combos. With limited AP, you need to get the most out of your heroes’ actions, because you’ll always be outnumbered. Luckily, each run unlocks new powers, classes, and more, letting you tackle increasingly higher levels of difficulty.
If you’re up for a challenge, try the Valor of Man demo and see how you fare. There’s plenty more to come when the full version launches on 19 March.
Headquarters: Cold War
- Developer: Starni Games
- Release Date: 19 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

If you’re intrigued by games like WARNO but their real-time gameplay isn’t your speed, the Headquarters series could have just the turn-based milsim style you’re looking for. The latest entry, Cold War, explores an alternate-history conflict between NATO and the USSR in 1984, pitting the most powerful technologies of the day against one another.
Headquarters: Cold War simulates vehicles with much more depth than most turn-based games, tracking individual crew members and realistic armor mechanics. The ability to assign heroes gives the game a slight Hollywood touch, so if you need a game for the military history nerd in your life (or if you are the military history nerd), this could be a winner.
Aether & Iron
- Developer: Seismic Squirrel
- Release Date: 31 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows, Mac
- Steam Page

Imagine a 1930’s gangster movie, but set it in a retro-futurist dystopia where New York City floats on aether-powered anti-grav turbines. That’s Aether & Iron, a noir RPG filled with car chases, important decisions, and skill checks that can take the story in unexpected directions.
From the art-deco buildings to the costumes and cars, Aether & Iron is a visual feast that’s dripping with character. If you liked Disco Elysium (or RPGs in general), definitely check out the demo for this game.
Legends of the Round Table
- Developer: Artifice Studio
- Release Date: 31 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

There have been a lot of King Arthur games, but none quite as cool or in-depth as Legends of the Round Table. Not only do you need to lead the Knights of the Round Table, but you’ll also need to manage their conflicting personalities and desires even as you command them in battle.
Legends’ commitment to authenticity borders on heroic. Its hand-drawn visuals were made using real 13th-century illumination techniques, and the soundtrack is recorded on period instruments. If you yearn for the days of mounted knights and loyal squires, Legends of the Round Table‘s card-based combat is a fantastic way to close out the month of March.
