There are plenty of reasons to watch Weapons, if you haven’t already. The film greatly benefits from strong performances throughout the cast, too. Julia Garner (Ozark), Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Austin Abrams (Wolfs), and Amy Maddigan (Field of Dreams) are terrific, but the young Cary Christopher (Days of Our Lives) is a true standout.
Weapons is an easy recommendation to anyone who considers themselves a horror fan, even if it’s not as straightforward a scary film as some may expect. If you saw Cregger’s last movie, Barbarian, he bends genres once more here to great results.
