The Hero Electro Wizard arrived in Clash Royale with Season 88 Shocktober update. The Hero version keeps the same base stats as the regular Electro Wizard but gets a new ability called Surging Strikes, which lets him stun nearby enemies with twin beams of electricity.
The ability costs 2 Elixir and repeatedly stuns targets every 0.5 seconds for around three seconds. It can hit two enemies at once, dealing damage with each strike, so the main advantage is keeping troops locked down rather than relying on the damage alone. In this guide, I have picked the best Hero Electro Wizard decks that use the card in different ways.
Best Decks for the Hero Electro Wizard in Clash Royale
Table Of Contents
- 1. Evolution Battle Ram, Hero Electro Wizard, Evolution Knight, P.E.K.K.A, Berserker, Mother Witch, Bats, Arrows
- 2. Evolution Goblin Giant, Hero Dark Prince, Hero Electro Wizard, Sparky, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Bats, Rage, Arrows
- 3. Evolution Mega Knight, Hero Electro Wizard, Evolution Goblin Cage, Hog Rider, Baby Dragon, Mega Minion, Guards, Poison
Hero Electro Wizard is a natural fit for decks that need reliable defensive support, especially against troops that rely on getting close to your tower or building up a push. Its ability can interrupt their attacks repeatedly while you can send in your pushes.
1. Evolution Battle Ram, Hero Electro Wizard, Evolution Knight, P.E.K.K.A, Berserker, Mother Witch, Bats, Arrows
Average Elixir Cost: 3.6
I tried this deck and had a lot of fun, mainly because of the counter-push ability it has. Evo Knight is useful for absorbing damage while moving forward, and you can support him with Battle Ram when the opponent has spent too much Elixir defending.
Hero Electro Wizard fits well into these pushes, especially when the opponent relies on several troops to stop your Battle Ram or P.E.K.K.A. Mother Witch is another useful card against swarm-heavy decks; it frustrates a lot when used right. Sometimes missing out on a heavy spell can cause problems, but not too much. You can copy the deck here.
2. Evolution Goblin Giant, Hero Dark Prince, Hero Electro Wizard, Sparky, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Bats, Rage, Arrows
Average Elixir Cost: 3.9
Another chaotic deck option, and it could be a slow burner, so you need a lot of patience. Mainly because Goblin Giant and Sparky are the heavy hitters, so timing becomes important. Goblin Giant can soak up damage while Sparky charges its shot behind him, so the opponent has to deal with two very different threats at once.

Mini P.E.K.K.A gives you a reliable defense and a mini tank too, and the cheaper cards Bats provide support, while Arrows help clear swarms that could otherwise stop Goblin Giant or distract Sparky. Rage is best saved for a push that is already reaching the tower or for a short chip of damage if needed. Try this deck here.
3. Evolution Mega Knight, Hero Electro Wizard, Evolution Goblin Cage, Hog Rider, Baby Dragon, Mega Minion, Guards, Poison
Average Elixir Cost: 4.1
This deck combines Hog Rider pressure with a strong defensive core. Evolution Mega Knight is your answer to ground pushes that build up around the bridge, while Evo Goblin Cage gives you a building to pull win conditions away from your tower.

Once you defend, the surviving Mega Knight or Cage Brawler can help you counterpush, with Hog Rider applying pressure separately. I like Guards here for distracting ground attackers without spending too much Elixir. Keep Hog Rider cycling when you have an opening, but avoid committing it into a defence you have not dealt with yet. Copy the deck here.
