The first round of the JKD Kumite Challenge 2026 took place on September 19, 2026, at the JKD Sport Centre in Tehran, Iran, bringing together 20 determined fighters ready to test their endurance, discipline, and fighting spirit.
Organized by Jalaiyan Dojo / IFK Iran, the event featured three kumite challenges based on the participants’ age categories:
- U16: 10-Man Kumite
- U18: 20-Man Kumite
- 18+: 30-Man Kumite
The competition delivered an impressive display of determination and perseverance. After completing their scheduled 10 fights, several younger participants requested to continue up to 20 fights. Similarly, fighters who completed the 20-Man Kumite challenge were eager to push their limits even further, asking to take part in an additional 10 fights to reach 30.
The event was led by Shihan Rasool Jalaiyan, IFK International Referee and former Iranian National Champion, and Sensei Mahdi Jalaiyan, IFK International Judge, Iranian National Champion, and four-time medalist at Asian and European competitions.
Both instructors actively participated in the challenge alongside their young fighters, demonstrating the spirit of Kyokushin through leadership, endurance, and personal example.
Next Challenge: 40-Man and 50-Man Kumite
Following the successful first round, the second JKD Kumite Challenge is scheduled for December 30, 2026, featuring even greater tests of endurance with 40-Man and 50-Man Kumite challenges.
