- October introduces a new rotation of Merge Tactics Modifiers alongside new Level 5 skins.
Clash Royale’s Merge Tactics Season 11 is getting another round of changes, with Supercell addressing some of the issues players have raised around the new seasonal systems. The update focuses mainly on making Supers less restrictive, reducing the gap between different troop costs, and making the preparation phase less hectic.
Clash Royale Merge Tactics October 2026 update overview
Monthly Supers get a major change
Supers were one of the biggest additions in Season 11, but the way they were assigned at the start of each battle limited the choices available to you. Starting in October, Supers will no longer be given as starting troops.
Instead, they will be added to the shared troop pool, so you can find and compete for them just like other troops. You will once again begin each game with a random 2-Elixir troop.
Supercell is also making balance changes to Supers and regular troops to reduce the power difference between high-cost and low-cost troops at the same Merge Level.
October Troop Pool and Modifiers
The October troop pool also comes with the new Boss Supers and the updated Season 11 roster. The Modifier lineup is also changing as the season moves into its second month.
| League | Modifiers |
|---|---|
| Bronze I | Merge Training, Trait Training |
| Bronze II | Trade Training, Equipment Training |
| Bronze III | Tile Training, Building Training |
| Silver I | Merge Bonus, Domination |
| Silver II | Star Advantage, Merge Mini |
| Silver III | Orb Galore, 3-Star Fantasy |
| Silver IV | Battle Royale, Goblin’s Treasure |
| Gold I | Royale River, Trait Gift |
| Gold II | Abyss Tile, Ascension |
| Gold III | Four Stars, Wormhole Tile |
| Gold IV | Trait Dummy, You’re Mine |
| Gold V | First Free, Echo Bench |
| Diamond | Jump Tile, Cursed Tile |
Skins, Badges, and other updates
Battle Machine and Dagger Duchess are getting new Level 5 skins with the October update. If you have already upgraded either Ruler to Level 5, you will automatically receive the respective skin when the update goes live.
Supercell is also changing how Merge Tactics badges are awarded once Season 11 ends on November 30. From then on, the system will follow the same structure used for other Clash Royale badges.

Reaching Diamond League will earn you a Silver Badge, while finishing in the Top 10,000 will earn a Gold Badge. These new badge requirements will not take effect with the October update. They will apply when the current season ends.
Another change targets the preparation phase. Season 11 introduced more ways to build and upgrade your team, which also resulted in more buying and selling between rounds. To make each purchase and sale more meaningful, the Elixir earned each round is being reduced from 5 to 4.
