Josh Hokit has taken brutal digs at Tom Aspinall, Ilia Topuria, and Ciryl Gane among many others.
Hokit is set to face heavyweight titleholder Gane in November at UFC 334. Most recently, the American appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show, where, while explaining why he wants to become the undisputed 265-pound titleholder, the 28-year-old decided to mock “El Matador.” While warning Topuria, Hokit said he would ‘wipe the former two-division titleholder off the face of the earth.
“I’m like 237 [pounds]. I could probably make 205 [pounds] easy. But why are there weight classes? People are hiding behind it. Where this game started, people just signed up to fight each other. It didn’t matter what the weight class was. That’s as primal as it gets. You see people like Ilia Topuria talking sh*t to me. I’m a heavyweight and I’m about to be a heavyweight champion. What is a 145-pound champion talking to a heavyweight like that for?”
“Different day and age. You’re extinct. I wipe you off the face of the earth. But now you get to hide behind a belt and be a quote-unquote tough guy. Don’t get that sh*t twisted. The heavyweight is the baddest man on the planet. I’m trying to bring that mentality back.” [h/t: Ariel Helwani]

Josh Hokit calls Tom Aspinall’s eye injury “fake”
“The Incredible Hok” also talked about Tom Aspinall. Aspinall recently decided to vacate the heavyweight title after suffering another eye injury while sparring and is unsure how long it will take to be medically cleared to fight.
Josh Hokit, however, believes Aspinall is faking the eye injury so that the UFC releases him, after which he can pursue a full-time career in boxing. He said:
“I think he has his teammates farting on his pillow, and then he goes to sleep, gets pink eye, and posts that sh*t on Instagram… I think he’s just trying to get out of his deal. That sh*ts all fake gang. I think he’s tryna get that bag in boxing.”

Josh Hokit warns Ciryl Gane before UFC 334 heavyweight title bout: “I’ll poke you in the eye back”
In the same episode, while talking about his next opponent, Ciryl Gane, Josh Hokit warned “Bon Gamin.” He quipped:
“My eyes. That’s why they booked me [to fight Gane]. Titanium eyes, bulletproof back of the head. Back of the head, he hits me with an elbow; the whole elbow shatters. He pokes me in the eye; fingers break… If you poke me in the eye, I’ll poke you in the eye back. You hit me in the back of the head; I’ll rip your goddamn throat out. You go low, I’ll go lower.”
“I don’t think he deserves the undisputed title. I don’t think you should reward someone for cheating… when I beat the fuck out of him it’s like I’m undisputed.”
Hokit also took aim at Gable Steveson and Alex Pereira and took a lighthearted jab at UFC CEO Dana White.
