WILMINGTON, Massachusetts. Analog Devices’ unveiled the ADRV9022 radio-frequency (RF) agile transceiver, which combines four independently controlled transmitters and receivers with observation receiver inputs, integrated synthesizers, and digital signal processing for cellular infrastructure applications, according to company product information.
The device supports single-band 4T4R or dual-band 2T2R operation and has a local-oscillator tuning range of 75 MHz to 6 GHz and an RF range of 10 MHz to 6.1 GHz. Maximum receiver and transmitter large-signal bandwidth is 200 MHz, while transmitter synthesis and observation-receiver bandwidth reach 450 MHz. Applications include small cells, macro 3G/4G/5G systems, and massive multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) base stations.
The ADRV9022 also integrates digital predistortion for power-amplifier linearization, crest-factor reduction, independent fractional-N RF synthesizers, and a clock synthesizer. It supports time-division duplexing (TDD) and frequency-division duplexing (FDD), multichip phase synchronization, and a 24.33 Gbps JESD204B/JESD204C digital interface. Power consumption is specified at 6.89 watts for a TDD digital-front-end-enabled configuration with 200 MHz occupied bandwidth.
