UFC Vegas 121, headlined by a bantamweight clash between Raul Rosas Jr. and Raoni Barcelos, just concluded, and the bonuses have been revealed.
In the main event, after a four-round war, in the fifth round, Barcelos, who was ahead on the judges’ scorecards, suddenly lost consciousness right after he was taken down. Raul Rosas Jr. got the win, but it was not the way anyone wanted the bout to end.
For the thrilling main event, both fighters took home an extra $100,000 each after being awarded Fight of the Night honors
UFC newcomer Luis Hernandez, who scored a submission in under a minute on his debut at UFC Vegas 121, received a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
Aside from Hernandez, UFC women’s strawweight contender Yazmin Jauregui, who returned to the octagon after 2 years and scored a stunning R1 knockout win over Vanessa Demopoulos at UFC Vegas 121 to return to winning ways, also bagged an extra $100,000 (Performance of the Night bonus)
