Norma Dumont and Ailin Perez have turned their UFC Vegas 121 matchup into one of the card’s liveliest stories, with accusations, old tension and a dispute involving Dumont’s boyfriend, UFC middleweight Marco Tulio. The women’s bantamweights meet Saturday, September 26, at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, serving as the co-main event beneath Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Raoni Barcelos.
Dumont enters at 13-3 and Perez is 13-2, with the Brazilian ranked second and the Argentine fifth in the UFC’s women’s bantamweight standings as of June. Perez owns the division’s longest active UFC winning run at six fights, while Dumont is looking to bounce back from April’s unanimous-decision loss to Joselyne Edwards, which ended her own six-fight streak.
Ailin Perez remains a modest betting favorite over Norma Dumont, but the market has moved substantially toward the Brazilian since the fight opened. Perez was installed around -200, with Dumont at +169, yet current prices have tightened into the region of Perez -137 to -147 and Dumont +110 to +134, depending on the sportsbook. Sportsbooks with sweeps casinos heavily expect the bout to get past the halfway point: over 2.5 rounds is listed from roughly -500 to -590, while a decision is priced around -430 to -455.

Perez has never been shy about making a fight week more entertaining, but this one has brought a response from Dumont that is far less diplomatic. Perez posted a video in August claiming that Tulio had been watching her train at the UFC Performance Institute and suggested Dumont had to distract him. Dumont laughed off the allegation, yet made clear she did not enjoy being pulled into the online storyline.
Dumont said Perez had secretly filmed her on three occasions and claimed Tulio had blocked Perez after being tagged repeatedly in her social-media posts. The Brazilian dismissed the posts as bait but admitted she has genuine personal anger toward her opponent.
Her line about finally having a sanctioned chance to do what she wants “without getting arrested” gave the promotion’s cameras plenty to work with ahead of fight night. Perez, unsurprisingly, has her own version of who began the feud. She said the pair had tension when they appeared on the same UFC card in July 2023, when Dumont beat Chelsea Chandler and Perez defeated Ashlee Evans-Smith.
The Argentine says things then escalated at the UFC Performance Institute before Dumont’s November 2025 split-decision win over Ketlen Vieira. According to Perez, Dumont approached her near the bathrooms with a group of women, told her she would be knocked out next and had to be separated from Perez’s group before the confrontation became physical. Dumont has not confirmed that account.
Perez has also accused Dumont of avoiding their fight in the past, including a proposed booking around Perez’s win over Macy Chiasson in Mexico City. She has pointed to their recent opponents as evidence that the matchup favors her, while Dumont has repeatedly said the talk has no influence on her preparation.
