HOUSTON, Texas. KBR won a five-year NATO contract with an initial ceiling of $60 million to support the PATRIOT air and missile defense system and its integration with the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), the company announced in a statement.
Under the award, KBR will provide command-and-control engineering and technical support intended to connect sensors and weapon systems across the battlespace, the statement reads.
Work will take place at sites including Redstone Arsenal and KBR facilities in Huntsville, Alabama, and Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, as well as other locations supporting multiple combatant commands, the company says.
The contract was issued through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) and includes support for system sustainment, integration, and operational readiness for deployed PATRIOT systems, according to the statement.
KBR has provided engineering and technical services for the PATRIOT system for about four decades, supporting the U.S. Department of War and international customers, the company says. The PATRIOT system is being integrated into broader air and missile defense architectures, including IBCS.
