Uros Medic had no shortage of criticism for Ian Machado Garry’s views.
For context, during a recent appearance on High Performance, Garry praised the influence his wife has had on him and said he believes the world would be a better place if it were run by women.
“If the world was run by women, we’d all live in a better world,” Garry said. “It would all be simpler and easier. That’s the fact of the matter—whether you want to agree with it or not. If women ruled the world, and we just listened to them and let them take over, it would be an easier world.”
Since then, Garry has drawn criticism from fans and fellow fighters alike, with Medic becoming the latest to voice his criticism without mincing words.
Uros Medic Sounds Off on Ian Machado Garry’s Comments About Women Running the World
During a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Uros Medic was asked for his thoughts on Ian Machado Garry’s upcoming welterweight title clash against reigning champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 330. Rather than offering a fight prediction right away, the 33-year-old Serbian took the opportunity to blast “The Future” over his views on women running the world.
“Obviously, he’s been very vocal lately about women running the world, and I just had a message for him,” Medic said. “Just because his woman is running his world, it doesn’t mean that women should run all the world, because men built the world. They’ve gave the rights to women, and they maintain the safety and freedom [of] everybody.
“So if he wants to have his world ran by women, I have no problem with that. Just don’t try to impose none of that bullsh*t on me.”
“The Doctor” is set to headline UFC Belgrade against Daniel Rodriguez this weekend at Belgrade Arena in his hometown of Belgrade, Serbia.
Medic was last seen in action at UFC Houston, where he scored a knockout victory over Geoff Neal to extend his winning streak to three. He currently owns a 7-3 record inside the Octagon and is 13-3 as a professional.
