Yasmine, Arjun, Tifa Lockhart (from Final Fantasy 7) and Bosch are coming to Street Fighter 6 via Season 4. Notably, the balance patch that applies adjustments to every character will also be dropping alongside Yasmine on August 3, 2026.
We already have a pretty good idea about how Yasmine will play thanks to her gameplay trailer that was recently released. Additionally, we have a few guesses on how Tifa will function based on her gameplay in the Final Fantasy 7 remake.
Though Bosch had a prominent role in the World Tour mode for Street Fighter 6, we have to imagine he’ll play differently compared to his NPC counterpart. Regardless, Arjun feels like the biggest unknown at the moment.
“Arjun is a very unique character that’s going to feel very different from everyone else. And we can’t go into specifics, but I will say that there will be some kind of dancing element to his gameplay.” — Takayuki Nakayama
The description for Arjun indicates that he has “extraordinary lung capacity” that’s useful for his “yogic breathing” techniques. He’s able to unleash “explosive power” with his “unique Bare-knuckle Yoga techniques.”
During an interview with IGN, Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama was asked about Arjun’s archetype. Of course, Nakayama was reluctant to share too many details, but he did provide a tiny tease of what we can expect from the newcomer.
“So, in terms of the fighting styles and what you can expect about their playstyles, we can say that they definitely feel unique and different from the existing roster,” began Nakayama.
