- Ronin joins Merge Tactics Season 10 as the newest Ruler with the Double Edge ability.
- Electro Giant and Electro Wizard return alongside the Electric Trait.
- Eight new Equipment items arrive on July 31, expanding the pool to 16 total.
Supercell’s Clash Royale is bringing another seasonal refresh to Merge Tactics with Season 10, introducing a brand-new Ruler, fresh equipment, returning troops, and trait changes. While this season does not bring a complete roster overhaul like Season 9, it still adds enough changes to shake up strategies. Here’s everything you need to know about the new season running from July 13 to September 1, 2026.
Clash Royale Merge Tactics Season 10 Update explained
New Ruler: Ronin
Season 10 introduces Ronin as the newest Ruler, who also makes his entry to the main mode. The forest wanderer gets the ability named Double Edge, which lets you select a tile before battle begins.
At the start of combat, once an enemy troop steps onto the chosen tile, Ronin unleashes an X-shaped slash that damages every troop in its path. The troop standing on the center tile takes double damage.
Ronin also comes with his own Starsteel Road reward track, featuring cosmetics such as Void Ronin, River Ronin, and the Scissored Slash confetti effect.
Unlike previous seasons, Ronin can only be unlocked through Starsteel Road, with no purchasable skin bundle available in the Ruler Cosmetics Shop. Arcade Machine and Perplexing Pixels Confetti will also be available.
Ruler Quests and Equipment changes
Ruler Quests remain unchanged in Season 10, but Supercell is adjusting the rewards inside Quest Orbs.
| Quest Orb | Rewards |
|---|---|
| Quest 1 Orb | 6 Elixir + Equipment |
| Quest 2 Orb | 1x 2-Star Troop (Baby Dragon, Giant, Goblin Cage, Royal Giant, Skeleton Dragon) + 12 Elixir |
| Quest 3 Orb | 1x 3-Star Troop (Archer Queen, Boss Bandit, Electro Giant, Electro Wizard, Golden Knight, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Mega Knight, Monk, P.E.K.K.A, Skeleton King) + 24 Elixir |
New Equipment
Starting July 31, 2026, eight new equipment items will join the pool, bringing the total equipment count to 16.
| Equipment | Effect |
|---|---|
| Archer Queen’s Cape | Troop becomes invisible and gains Hit Speed below 50% HP |
| Battle Healer’s Blessing | On KO, heals nearby allies |
| Controller Enchantment | Attacks slow enemy hit and movement speed |
| Dragon Scale | Reduced damage from melee troops and bonus damage against them |
| Lumberjack’s Jar | On KO, grants nearby allies speed boosts |
| Mage Wand | Turns strongest enemy into a rabbit temporarily |
| P.E.K.K.A’s Sword | Gains bonus damage and enemy remaining HP |
| Thrower Telescope | Grants +1 range and bonus damage based on distance |
For the first few weeks, only previously released equipment will remain available.
Returning troops and Electric Trait
No troops are rotating out in Season 10, but two familiar Electric troops are returning.
| Troop | Trait | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Electro Giant | Electric | Creates an electric field that damages and stuns nearby enemies |
| Electro Wizard | Electric | Fires lightning attacks that stun multiple enemies |
The Electric Trait also returns this season.
| Trait | Effect |
|---|---|
| Electric | After 6 seconds, lightning strikes enemies and stuns them |
| 1/2 | Each strike deals 10% max HP damage |
| 2/2 | Each strike deals 20% max HP damage |
The return of Electro Giant and Electro Wizard makes the Electric synergy relevant again, especially for players who prefer stun-heavy compositions.
Season 10 Modifiers

Unlike Season 9, Season 10 does not introduce new modifiers. Instead, Supercell is rotating the existing modifier pool and bringing back older modifiers to keep matches varied. While there are no fresh modifiers this time, the rotation should still affect which builds perform best throughout the season.
