UFC legend Nate Diaz had a lot to say about Khamzat Chimaev and Sean Strickland after their feud turned 180 degrees at UFC 328.
Sean Strickland handed then-UFC middleweight champ Khamzat Chimaev his first-career defeat in an instant classic last Saturday at UFC 328. After months of bad blood boiling between Chimaev and Strickland, the two middleweights were cordial on fight night, despite being just hours removed from hurling personal insults at each other at the pre-fight press conference.
Chimaev offered to put the belt on Strickland and officially squash their beef in the cage after UFC 328. In the hours after the fight, many fans, pundits, and fellow fighters are questioning whether or not Chimaev and Strickland’s beef was manufactured and inauthentic.
Add former UFC superstar Nate Diaz to the list of skeptics, as he hinted colorfully ahead of his MMA return this weekend on the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card.
Nate Diaz goes off on Khamzat Chimaev, Sean Strickland for ‘bulls******* us’ at UFC 328
In a recent MVP Face 2 Face interview, Diaz went off on Chimaev and Strickland squashing their beef after UFC 328, following months of hostility.
“They were faking the funk, and they were f***** acting crazy and talking s*** to each other, and then hugging and showing love like some b*******. Fake f****** puppets. I’m f****** cool off that s***. I’m not going to play around, make some fake, artificial beef with [Mike], I just think I’m going to get it done,” Diaz said of Chimaev and Strickland.
“Not here for a sitdown, pow-wow, none of that s***. I ain’t bulls****** anybody, and they bulls****** us. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night iwere was sitting there and bulls*******.”
Diaz and Chimaev were supposed to fight at UFC 279, before Chimaev missed weight and the UFC opted to completely reshape three fights on the main card. Diaz went on to defeat former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson by submission.
