I thought I’d help break up the monotony at the beginning of the week by providing you with a couple of ideas of RPGs which are right now very cheaply priced, and perhaps one of these may help make your week just a little more enjoyable, or possibly even fill your time during the weekend.
Remember that the price-cut deadlines of each title vary greatly depending on the game. So as a result you can look at this article and see that the RPG you were looking at (and was probably going to buy) is no longer available for sale. Don’t be mad at me.
Enough with the premise, here are ten great deals on turn-based RPGs that you won’t want to miss. Check them out below, and reach out to me on Reddit to talk about them.
FRONT MISSION 2: Remake
- Developer: Storm Trident SA
- Release Date: 30 April, 2024
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Switch
- Steam Page
Front Mission is a classic series that feels like Advance Wars meets Armored Core. You’ll command armies of mechs in futuristic combat while the fate of the world hangs in the balance. While each game tells a different story, they all take place in the same world, with the conflicts of previous titles leading into those of the later ones.
The recent remakes of the original Front Mission games have been a great way to get into the series, and you can get Front Mission 2: Remake for 66% off on Steam until 5 April. That knocks the price from $34.99 down to just $11.99. The other two remakes are also discounted, and you can even get the whole trilogy as a bundle!
Beyond Galaxyland
- Developer: Sam Enright
- Release Date: 24 September, 2024
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
- Steam Page

Beyond Galaxyland combines the wondrous, anything-goes sensibilities of retro sci-fi with the adventure of a classic JRPG, resulting in a memorable spacefaring adventure. Its far-off planets are brought to life in gorgeous 2.5D pixel art, and it offers story and combat in equal measure.
If you missed this top-notch indie project, now is a great time to add it to your collection. It’s normally very reasonable at just $14.99, but Steam has it half off until 9 April, so you can get it for just $7.49. There are also a few bundles that include Beyond Galaxyland, offering twice the adventure at an even better discount.
Brigandine The Legend of Runersia
- Developer: Happinet, Matrix
- Release Date: 11 May, 2022
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Switch
- Steam Page

The Legend of Runersia heralded the return of a classic (if very niche) strategy series, and the announcement of Brigandine Abyss means there’s more to come for this beloved hex-grid RPG. Runersia lets you take command of one of the kingdoms on the titular continent, commanding your knights and monsters in campaigns that span seasons.
If you’re in the mood for some JRPG-style grand strategy, you can get Brigandine The Legend of Runersia on Steam for half off, down to $19.99 from its usual price of $39.99. With six potential campaigns to play, that’s a ton of value.
Heroes of Science and Fiction
- Developer: Oxymoron Games
- Release Date: 17 March, 2026
- Platform: Windows, Linux
- Steam Page

Oxymoron’s sci-fi take on the classic Heroes of Might and Magic formula is a breath of fresh air for strategy fans. With distinct factions and a mysterious sector of the galaxy to explore, it’s part of a growing indie renaissance in HoMM-likes, alongside games like Songs of Conquest.
Heroes of Science and Fiction launched into 1.0 earlier this month, and to celebrate they’re offering a very generous 40% discount on Steam. There’s less than a day left on the offer, though, so if you want to lock in the $14.99 price be sure to grab it before 31 March – after that, the game will be back at $24.99 for the foreseeable future.
Missile Command Delta
- Developer: 13AM Games, Mighty Yell

Remember Missile Command? You won’t spot the arcade classic in the wild too often anymore, but Atari has published a tribute with Missile Command Delta. The original gameplay – launching a counteroffensive to intercept incoming missiles – has been transformed into a tense turn-based strategy campaign. Between missions you’ll explore your bunker and uncover hidden secrets, adding a layer of mystery and puzzle solving to the whole affair!
Missile Command Delta is a very cool approach to keeping the classics relevant, so if it sounds like something you’d like to check out you can get it for 45% off on Steam until 6 April; it normally sells for $19.99, but the Spring Sale has it down to $10.99.
Affogato
- Developer: Befun Studios
- Release Date: 17 August, 2023
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

As you can probably guess from the name, Affogato is a bit different when it comes to JRPGs. You’ll spend your days running a coffee shop, getting to know your customers and brewing their drinks to perfection. The magic comes in, though, when you enter the minds of your customers to battle their inner demons. It’s strange and offbeat in the best way, so pour yourself a cup and check it out!
Affogato is half off on Steam until 9 April, bringing it from $16.99 down to $8.49. The Deluxe Edition is 38% off, bumping the final price up to $14.05, but it includes the soundtrack. There are also a few bundles that you can find the game in as well to beef up your collection even more.
Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace
- Developer: Cybertech
- Release Date: 27 March, 2023
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace was one of the many Dungeons & Dragons games released for MS-DOS back in the early ’90s. Not only is it a nostalgic look at retro PC gaming and classic D&D, but it’s also set in the sometimes-overlooked Spelljammer setting which blasts high fantasy into space.
$4.99 is a fine price for a trip down memory lane, and that’s what you can get Pirates of Realmspace for on Steam until 10 April. That’s a 50% discount off its regular price of $9.99, and the game is also part of the D&D Classics bundle – itself a steal at $28.39 during the current sale.
KAMiBAKO – Mythology of Cube –
- Developer: Gravity Game Arise
- Release Date: 29 January, 2025
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Switch

Kamibako casts you in the role of the Restorer, destined to put a fragmented world back together. By combining exploration, crafting, puzzles, and of course JRPG battles, you’ll reshape the world as you see fit, getting access to new shops, abilities, and regions as you do so.
SteamDB has shown Kamibako bouncing back and forth between its standard price of $29.99 and its sale price of $14.99 throughout the Spring Sale. We’re not sure what’s going on, but if you’ve had your eye on this game it might be worth checking in through 6 April to see if you can snag a deal.

Originally released for the PSP and Game Boy Advance, Riviera is a cult JRPG with a lovely combination of pixel and hand-drawn graphics and an equipment-based skill system. The recent remaster includes tons of quality-of-life improvements, including an autosave and varying difficulty levels.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or looking to try Riviera for the first time, Steam has it for half price through 1 April. That’s $17.49, down from $34.99, and the game is also available bundled with another Sting classic, Yggdra Union.
