Tekken 8 just received its Version 2.09.00 update last week to help prepare for the Season 3 launch, but there’s already another on the way now.
Bandai Namco has announced that the Version 2.09.01 patch for Tekken 8 is dropping today with the game heading into server maintenance for preparation.
According to their official posts, Tekken’s server maintenance is scheduled to begin tonight, February 16, at 5:30 p.m. PT and last through 7:30 p.m. PT.
During this time, all online functionality will remain unavailable including ranked matches, lobbies, leaderboards and the in-game store among other features.
As to what the new update will do for the game, it apparently won’t be much.
Following last week’s patch, Bamco said they’d identified an issue with the PlayStation 5 version of Tekken 8 where the Season 3 Pass could not be purchased from inside the game, so they’re fixing that bug — and that’s seemingly it.
An issue has been identified on the PS5 version of #TEKKEN8.
When selecting Season 3 Pass from the NEWS or TEKKEN SHOP in-game sections, the message “Content not found” appears instead of proceeding to the Store.
The Pass can be purchased directly through the PlayStation Store.

The Version 2.09.00 update added new content and support for the new season pass to the game, but actual balance adjustments won’t be coming until next month.
Bamco is scheduled to drop the actual big Season 3 patch in a month on March 16 where the whole cast will be touched up.
Interestingly, Kunimitsu won’t be launching with Season 3 itself as she’s scheduled to come sometime in late Spring to kick off the new round of DLC characters.
She’ll be followed by Bob in the Summer, Roger Jr. in the Fall and one more unannounced fighter in early 2027.
To deploy #TEKKEN 8 Patch 2.09.01, a server maintenance will happen on Feb. 17 at 02:30 CET | 17:30 PST | 10:30 JST.
This patch fixes the PlayStation Store redirection error when selecting “Season 3 Pass” from the in-game News and the #TEKKEN Shop.
Thank you for your patience.
