I’ve got a few solid tips and recommendations to help you make the most of the sales happening right now. There are some top-tier RPGs currently discounted that you really shouldn’t pass up, especially if they’re still missing from your library.
Games go on sale all the time, but the best of the best don’t get discounted as often or as much; they know how much they’re worth, after all. Occasionally, though, the stars align, and some amazing deals on truly top-tier games crop up. All you have to do is catch them when they’re available.
I’ve found ten must-play RPGs that Steam and Humble have at an unbelievable discount right now. If any of these are on your Wishlist, waiting for the right time, you’re unlikely to find a better deal than what we’re seeing today. Check them out below, and let’s talk about them on Reddit.

One Piece Odyssey
- Developer: ILCA, Inc.
- Release Date: 12 January, 2023
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch

One Piece Odyssey does a fantastic job of bringing one of the world’s most famous manga and anime series to life. Even in 3D, the game captures the look and feel of One Piece, making it a treat for fans. Even if you’re not familiar with the series, Odyssey‘s standalone adventure is a JRPG well worth your time.
One Piece Odyssey is listed at $14.79 on Steam until 16 April, a 63% discount from its usual price of $39.99. The discount doesn’t apply to the Deluxe Edition, but if you don’t mind losing out on some cosmetic and starter bonuses, the only thing you’ll really be missing is the Reunion of Memories DLC adventure, which is itself 50% off.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
- Developer: Owlcat Games
- Release Date: 2 September, 2021

- Humble Page

These days, Owlcat Games is best known for their stellar RPG adaptations of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, but they also have some rock-solid fantasy adventures based on another titan of the tabletop, Pathfinder.
Wrath of the Righteous puts you at the front lines of a battle against the Abyss, with a truly impressive array of character creation options and the level of choice you’d expect from the team behind Rogue Trader.
There’s no better way to keep your demon-slaying skills sharp while you wait for Dark Heresy, and Humble has Wrath of the Righteous on sale for $11.99 until 9 April. That’s 70% off the game’s usual price tag of $39.99!
Persona 3 Reload & Persona 5 Royal
- Developer: ATLUS
- Release Date: 2 February, 2024 (Reload); 31 October, 2019 (Royal)
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Switch
- Humble Page

Persona 3 and 5 are both important milestones in the series’ history. Persona 3 was the title where the series really hit its stride, and Persona 5 showed the height of what it could achieve… so far.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or looking for a good place to start with this fan-favorite franchise, the fully remastered Persona 3 Reload and the definitive Persona 5 Royal are both must-haves for your collection.
Humble has both titles on sale until 9 April. Persona 3 Reload is 60% off, knocking its price down from $59.99 to $23.99, while Persona 5 Royal is 70% off, down to $17.99. That means you can get both great, 80-hour games for less than the standard price of one.
Darkest Dungeon II
- Developer: Red Hook Studios
- Release Date: 8 May, 2023
- Platform: Windows, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
- Steam Page

Darkest Dungeon II has come a long way since its Early Access days. While its branching roguelike paths are still just as challenging as ever, there’s also the Kingdoms mode that challenges you to defend your realm against the encroaching darkness. If you’ve been sticking to the original game, it really is time to see what the sequel has to offer.
Conveniently, Steam has Darkest Dungeon II on sale with the rest of the franchise until 16 April, offering the core game for $12.39 rather than $39.99 – a savings of 69%. Each DLC pack is 25% off, or you can get the Resolute Edition that includes everything for $25.65.
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters
- Developer: Complex Games
- Release Date: 5 May, 2022
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox
- Steam Page

If you’re looking for some high-powered, XCOM-style tactical battles in the grim darkness of the far future, look no further than Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters.
This mouthful of a title puts you in command of the Grey Knights, the Imperium’s foremost slayers of Warp-daemons, and challenges you to liberate a sector from the monstrous creatures of Nurgle.
Chaos Gate is a must for Warhammer fans, and since Steam has it listed for 80% off until 16 April now is a great time to dive into its grimdark mayhem. It normally goes for $44.99, but during the sale you can get the game for just $8.99, or snag the Grand Master Edition for $22.24 and get all the DLC too.
South Park: The Stick of Truth – South Park: The Fractured but Whole Gold Edition
- Developer: Obsidian Entertainment
- Release Date: 3 March, 2014 (The Stick of Truth); 16 October, 2017 (The Fractured But Whole)
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
- Humble Page

Leave it to South Park to make a game that’s irreverent, silly, and gross, but also a geniunely good turn-based RPG… and then do it again a few years later.
The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole feel like living in an extended episode of the long-running animated series, with over-the-top humor and a dash of poignant commentary.
The Stick of Truth, which has a fantasy theme, is 75% off on Humble until 16 April, letting you get it for $7.49 instead of $29.99. The newer, superhero-centric The Fractured But Whole is more expensive, starting at $49.99, but offers a 70% discount down to $14.99 during the same period.
Songs of Conquest
- Developer: Lavapotion
- Release Date: 20 May, 2024
- Platform: Windows, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox
- Humble Page

We’re all hyped for Olden Era, and Heroes of Science and Fiction launched out of Early Access recently, but if you’re on a budget and looking for one of the best HoMM spiritual successors out there, be sure not to overlook Songs of Conquest.
Its clever magic system, lovely pixel art, and unique factions give it a unique spin on the resurrecting genre.
Songs of Conquest is 75% off on Humble until 9 April, taking it from $29.99 to $7.49. With those savings, you can pick up the Vanir DLC at full price and get a fifth faction, still paying less than the base cost of the main game!
Miasma Chronicles
- Developer: The Bearded Ladies
- Release Date: 23 May, 2023
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox
- Humble Page

As you might expect from the creators of Mutant Year Zero, Miasma Chronicles is the full package when it comes to narrative tactical RPGs.
It’s got a hauntingly beautiful, richly-imagined world to explore, secrets to uncover, and of course dangerous fights against strange foes to test your skills. If you’ve ever wanted to journey across a post-apocalyptic wasteland with your robot buddy (and who hasn’t?), this is an adventure worth taking.
Miasma Chronicles is discounted 70% on Humble until 9 April, taking its price from $34.99 down to just $10.49. There’s no DLC or anything to worry about, either – it’s the whole game in one digital box.
Monster Hunter Stories Collection
- Developer: Capcom
- Release Date: 9 July, 2021
- Platform: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch
- Humble Page

With last month’s launch of Monster Hunter Stories 3, there’s plenty of reason to check out Capcom’s breathtaking anime spinoff series.
The Monster Stories Collection on Humble offers the first two games, giving you tons of adventure that you can play in any order. Best of all, if you’ve completed the earlier games, you get some neat cosmetics by carrying over your save file to the third.
The Monster Hunter Stories Collection usually offers both games for $59.99, a slight discount over buying them separately, but until 9 April Humble has it discounted 67%, taking that price down to $19.79. Remember, that’s two full-length games for a third of the price of the newest in the series!
